{"id":1745,"date":"2021-01-25T07:44:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-25T07:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hanscadi.ng\/nuba\/index.php\/2021\/01\/25\/most-students-say-their-mental-health-suffered-in-pandemic\/"},"modified":"2025-03-14T16:25:14","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T16:25:14","slug":"most-students-say-their-mental-health-suffered-in-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hanscadi.ng\/nuba\/index.php\/2021\/01\/25\/most-students-say-their-mental-health-suffered-in-pandemic\/","title":{"rendered":"Maternal deaths: Gov Yusuf renovates Nuhu Bamalli Maternity Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has re-commissioned Nuhu Bamalli Maternity Hospital after extensive renovations and equipping it with state-of-the-art facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Governor Yusuf\u2019s commitment to refurbishing the old maternity hospital stemmed from his administration\u2019s bold step to reduce newborn and maternal deaths in Kano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unveiling the new edifice on Thursday, the governor expressed satisfaction that the upgraded facility was intended to improve the health of the population in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He recalled that Nuhu Bamalli Hospital was left in a deteriorated condition with poor equipment and an acute shortage of human resources at the time he took over the administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor added that the renovation and reinvigoration of the facility at Nuhu Bamalli and Asiya Bayero Paediatric Hospitals are deliberate attempts to restore public trust in public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He, therefore, urged stakeholders to take ownership and responsibility for ensuring the proper management and protection of the newly installed equipment and to keep the facility clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State re-commissions the Nuhu Bamalli Maternity Hospital after extensive renovations and equipping it with state-of-the-art facilities<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yusuf reassured the people of the state that his administration will not relent in delivering quality healthcare services, as major priority attention is being devoted to the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor used the occasion to announce that contracts for the renovation of all general hospitals across the state have been awarded, with the aim of benefiting all citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On average 56% of university students worldwide said their mental health suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic, in a survey of about 17,000 students in 21 countries that was conducted for Chegg.org, an educational technology and textbook rental firm in the United States.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":3506,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13,14],"tags":[18,19,24,28,29],"class_list":["post-1745","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-student-life","category-student-story","tag-campus","tag-career","tag-health","tag-life","tag-pandemic"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.5 -
