Kaduna polytechnic lauds Gov Sani for raising retirement age to 65

Around one in 57 (1.76%) children in the UK is on the autistic spectrum, significantly higher than previously reported, according to a study of more than seven million children carried out by researchers from the University of Cambridge’s Department of Psychiatry, in collaboration with researchers from Newcastle University and Maastricht University.

The decision followed a meeting with the Governor and the management as well as leadership of Academic Unions of all state-owned tertiary institutions which was held on Tuesday last week.

The Rector of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Dr Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi has lauded Kaduna governor for raising the retirement age of tertiary school teachers to 65 years..

He made this known in a press statement issued over the weekend and signed by Abdullahi Ibrahim Shehu, Secretary of Information and Protocol of the Polytechnic.
He noted that the ‘’action of the Governor did not come to us as a surprise considering his positive policies on education, including the reduction of students’ registration fees within three months after his swearing-in.’’

According to the Rector, ‘’these policies mark a significant milestone in improving access to education to the citizens of the state and welfare of the staff of the Polytechnic.’’
